Just returned yesterday from a service appointment for a strange creaking noise near the passenger seat.
Turns out it was the upper control arm assembly making the noise. The Tesla advisor had both left and right control arms replaced. He mentioned that there were lots of problems with that particular batch made in 2018/2019. Also that he had seen over 100 service visits replacing the control arms. Covered by warranty. Only took an hour and a half to replace. Just long enough to have lunch. All those folks were great at the service center.
What model Teslas are effected? What model is yours?
We have a 2019 Duel Motor, Long Range Model 3. It has 41K miles on it.
As far as which models are effected......was not discussed.
Thanks. I have a Model Y on order and am still learning what to expect when it gets delivered.
