For those who have purchased tires from Tire Rack with their two year warranty; be aware of their conditions before trying to use their warranty. I was traveling through South Carolina and had a side wall puncture on the right rear tire. Since I was only one year into the two year guarantee I contacted Tire Rack for a replacement on a Sunday afternoon. The replacement request was processed on their website and delivery was scheduled for Monday early afternoon. The actual delivery date was not until late Wednesday afternoon. Once the tire was installed I took pictures of the damaged tire including the DOT registration number, the shipping label, and the installation receipt as required on the claim form. I then left SC and drove home to Florida. Thursday morning I submitted the claim form and supporting pictures to Tire Rack. The warranty claim was denied. When I called customer service to inquire why I was told I submitted my claim in the wrong order and therefore it was considered invalid.

Be aware, in order for the claim to be accepted you have to submit the claim before you order the new tire even though it will be incomplete without the shipping and installation paperwork. Then before you leave the installation shop you have to go in and complete the claim with all the paperwork and pictures they want and contact customer service to confirm they don’t want to inspect the old tire. I don’t know if you would have to stay with the old tire until it is inspected or not and customer service could not give me an answer on that subject.

it seems to me that they have created an almost impossible task to qualify for the warranty.

After dealing with them multiple times trying to get the warranty back I am convinced that it is only a public relations snow job and is not an actual benefit to the customer.
