Has anyone here installed Paint Protective Film (PPF)?
- Is it worth the money?
- Which areas of your car did you have covered (e.g., front only, bottom of rear doors, entire car)?
- What was the rough cost?
- Which local installer(s) would you recommend?
- Were there any accessories that you had installed during the process (e.g., mud flaps, logos, etc.)?
- Did you have ceramic coating applied over the PPF?
- Do you have any advice related to PPF installation?
Thanks in advance!
I have gotten this installed by David Solar Protection 352-408-6385. I got the entire exterior of the cat, plus ceramic coating for around $3000. Well worth it.
I think its worth it, especially because I drive the car back and forth as a snowbird. Tesla has a rather unique front bumper as we all know so paint chips show much more than on a vehicle with a typical grille. I had the entire front done, not the whole car, so that means bumper, entire hood, mirrors, rockers and behind each wheel for around $1800. I have a new Tesla on order and I will do this again. My PPF was Eastman's product and has a 10 year warranty. 3M also is a big supplier. The film is 'Self healing' as well.
