Model 3 Performance vs. Porsche 911 GT3

From EVannex.com

After Tesla’s recent $2,000 price drop off its Model 3, one can buy three Model 3s for the price of one Porsche 911 GT3 and still win on a race track. Check out a price and performance spec comparison of both cars below before watching the video.

In this showdown, it’s not drag race where vehicle performance is measured by how quick off the line each car launches or how fast it reaches top speed. Instead, pitting these cars against one another, a Tesla Model 3 Performance vs. Porsche 911 GT3, in an autocross race gives us far more insight into each car’s handling agility and consistency in lap completion times.

Even though the Porsche 911 GT3 is built for racing from the ground up, the Tesla Model 3 compact electric sedan beats it on its own turf. Keep in mind: the 911 GT3 is 438 kg (1,547 lbs) lighter than the Model 3 Performance but even with this edge, the German assassin couldn’t score a win in a single lap (out of three).

Lap Times

Tesla Model 3 Performance stats remain very consistent throughout multiple races. Note: this is typically the case with Tesla’s prior drag race results too. But trying to get consistent results like this from an internal combustion engine (ICE) car can be quite challenging.
