Over 450 attend The Villages Tesla's 1st Annual EV & Sustainable Energy Show at Whispering Oaks Winery
On May 8th The Villages Tesla Owners Club held its 1st Annual “Electric Vehicle and Sustainable Energy Show” at the Whispering Oaks Winery in Oxford. It was a beautiful day with approx 450 people in attendance. The event was open to the public and the public was excited about what they saw!
Multiple electric cars were on display or available for test drives, including: BMW i3, Chevy Bolt, Ford Mach-E, Nissan Leaf, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Tesla Roadster, Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model Y. Attendees were able to ask questions and engage current electric car owners and participating dealers were impressed with the public’s enthusiastic response to their EVs.

In addition to EVs, which were in deed the “main event”, we had Crown Electric Golf Cars, Pedego Bicycles, Arcimoto – Fun Vehicles, SunTec Solar, Tesla Solar, SECO, Villages Insurance, Electrified Garage, Community Collision along with others.
There was lots to see and do. The Winery was open for lunch in addition to a wonderful lunch option for our Club members and Florida Tesla Enthusiasts, complete with raffles and prizes. It was a lovely mild spring day and everyone who attended reported having a good time and learning a lot.
Our volunteers really made the day! Without lots of advance planning, behind the scenes preparation, and assisting with parking and registration and a dozen other important tasks the day of the event, this day would not have been the huge success was! Thank you all!
We look forward to this annual event and know it will only get bigger and better. And we invite your comments to help make it a huge success again next year.
